E-Transformation & E-Invoice Consultancy: Digital Financial Consultancy and Legal Compliance

With the legal regulations implemented by the Revenue Administration (GİB), the financial processes of Turkey’s businesses are being rapidly digitalized. Introduced to increase corporate transparency, reduce operating costs and prevent the informal economy, e-transformation & e-invoice consultancy, is the most fundamental requirement of today's commercial structure. With its Ankara-based expert team, Akal CPA manages your business's transition from paper-based traditional accounting systems to digital infrastructure on a zero-error principle and in full compliance with legal regulations. Your transition to e-document applications is not just a software installation; it is the rebuilding of your company's entire financial structure for the future.

Obligation to Transition to E-Invoice and E-Archive Systems

With the Tax Procedure Law (VUK) General Communiqués updated every year, the turnover thresholds for the mandatory transition to e-Invoice and e-Archive Invoice applications are being gradually lowered. Companies that exceed the specified annual gross sales revenue thresholds, engage in e-commerce or operate in certain specific sectors (real estate, motor vehicles, etc.) must integrate into the digital invoice system within the statutory deadlines. During the transition, obtaining the financial seal, selecting a portal or integrator and preparing legally compliant invoice designs are general accounting services meticulously coordinated by our team, and penalty risks are completely eliminated. Your business continues its invoicing operations without any interruption.

E-Ledger Application and Financial Seal Processes

Most taxpayers who switch to e-Invoice must also join the e-Ledger (Electronic Ledger) application at the same time. Preparing the journal and general ledger digitally, signing them with a time stamp and uploading their berats (certificates) to the GİB system are subject to strict legal rules. Failure to upload the berats within the statutory period can lead to heavy administrative fines. At Akal CPA, we back up your e-ledger processes on secure cloud-based systems and create a flawless digital database for the periodic financial reporting services that provide an X-ray of your company's finances. Your company's entire financial memory is encrypted and secured digitally.

Frequently Asked Questions

An e-Invoice is an electronic invoice issued only to other companies (taxpayers) registered in the e-Invoice system, and it is delivered to the recipient through the system over a closed network. An e-Archive Invoice is an electronic invoice issued to companies not registered in the e-Invoice system and to end consumers (individuals). Both have the same legal validity, but their delivery methods differ via the Revenue Administration (GİB) portal.

Yes. Legal entities (Limited and Joint Stock Companies) are obliged to obtain a "Financial Seal" from TUBITAK (Public SM) or specially authorized institutions in order to apply for e-Invoice, e-Ledger and other e-document applications and to legally approve their electronic documents. Sole proprietorships (real person taxpayers) can perform this process with e-Signature.

Absolutely yes. Even if you have not reached the turnover or sector obligation limits set by the Revenue Administration, you can voluntarily switch to the e-Invoice and e-Archive Invoice system at any time to reduce your company's shipping, notarization, paper and archiving costs. Voluntary transition adds great corporate prestige to businesses.

No, it is generally not required. Companies that switch to e-Ledger do not need to have their Journal and General Ledger (Defter-i Kebir) certified on paper by a notary; these books are certified digitally with a time stamp. However, other statutory books not covered by e-Ledger, such as the Inventory Book, Share Ledger and General Assembly Resolution Book, must continue to be certified on paper by a notary.

Private integrators are state-authorized intermediaries that transmit companies' electronic documents (invoices, waybills, etc.) to GİB through their own systems and legally store these documents on secure cloud servers for 10 years. Unlike GİB's free Portal, private integrators offer major operational conveniences such as bulk invoicing, full compatibility with ERP and accounting software, automatic archiving and technical support.
